Note: This feature is available only to administrators.
Create a new user-defined regulatory list when existing regulatory lists don't focus on the chemical substances requiring your attention or don't provide data you require for each substance.
When creating a user-defined regulatory list, you define two areas of data:
Details: The list's basic properties, including its name, any additional note, and up to three "detail items." Detail items are extra data items you can record for each of the list's entries (see below). Common detail items include STEL, Reportable Quantity, and EC Number.
Entries: The chemical substances cited by the list. Each entry requires a CAS number and may optionally have a compound name and any detail items defined in the list's details (see above).
After the new list is complete, users see its data when a product ingredient matches a list entry during the following operations:
Browsing the product list by ingredient (see Browsing the Product List);
Viewing a product's ingredients (see Viewing a Product: Ingredients);
Running certain list matching reports (See Reports: List Matching Reports).
To create a user-defined regulatory list:
Starting at the User Defined Regulatory Lists page
Click Create a New List.
Fields appear for defining the new list's details.
Enter the new List Name.
In the List Footer field, enter any additional information that will be helpful to users viewing this list, such as a summary of the list's purpose and/or explanation of its terminology.
If you want each of this list's entries to include data in addition to CAS number and compound name, enter up to three additional data types in the Detail Item Header fields.
Click Save in the lower right.
The new list is saved. Its details are complete, but it still needs entries.
In the (Select a Regulatory List) menu, select the list you just saved.
The list's details appear.
Above the list's details, click the List Entries option.
The display shows that the list currently contains no entries.
Click Add New in the upper left.
Fields appear for defining the new entry's properties, including any detail item headers you entered at step 4.
Enter the entry's properties and click the save () icon in the lower right.
The new entry is saved.
Repeat steps 8-9 until all desired entries are added.
The new user-defined regulatory list is now complete. When a product ingredient matches an entry in this list, this list's data will appear to users browsing the product list by ingredient, viewing a product's ingredients, and running certain list matching reports.
